As an independent Certified Scrum Trainer with Glaessel Ventures, he helps a broader range of companies understand and implement agile transformations that achieve sustainable success. As a management consultant, he focuses on Healthcare, Industrial, Retail and Services strategy, with expertise in consumer behavior, and product/service innovation.
Alex has a unique style of running the class as a working Scrum, with four Sprints and a Backlog of class topics. The format allows the class to cover more material than a typical CSM class, and to adapt easily to the needs, questions and backgrounds of the students.

He uses Scrum to teach Scrum, giving the class hands-on practical experience with iterative work, the Scrum roles, Artifacts, and Ceremonies.
Trained in Scrum by Scrum creator Jeff Sutherland, and worked closely with him for 5 years as his Chief Product Owner.

  • How do I become a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®)?
    Below is the process to become a CSPO®: 1. Register for a CSPO course conducted by a CST( Certified Scrum Trainer ), the course should be 14 hours of live online or 16 hours of in-person training with your CST 2. Upon successful completion of the course, CST will send you a link to create login on ScrumAlliance. 3. After you create your login on Scrum Alliance, you will need to accept the License Agreement and you will receive CSPO designation & a 2-year membership from Scrum Alliance 4. The certification in order to stay active needs to be renewed once every two years.

  • Can I take the CSPO® test without attending an in-person or online Certified Scrum Product Owner® course?
    Those who aspire to earn a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification are required to take an either an in-person, two-day 16 hour CSPO course or a live-online 14 hour CSM course with one of our certified trainers and/or coaches. Upon successfully completing the training, you will receive a certification.
  • Does Scrum Alliance offer Virtual/Online Classes ?
    With the continued spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Scrum Alliance is temporarily allowing all of the courses to be in an online format.
  • After working as CSPO for 1 year, what are the next steps?"
    After earning your CSM certification and a year of experience working as a Product Owner on a Scrum Team , you become eligible to get Advanced Certified Product Owner (A-CSPO℠) certification.
  • What is the Validity of CSPO certification?
    The CSPO certification is valid for 2 years after your attend the course. You have to submit a predetermined number of Scrum Education Units (SEUs) along with a renewal fee, in order to maintain the certification after a period of two years.
